Last year, too far into the year, I created a graphic to track this challenge. I came dangerously close to finishing it, lacking only a few letters. If you enjoy challenges such as this, or just feel better sharing it for accountability, here is an updated graphic for 2025.

Spaces to Fill
Book titles that start with letters A-Z.
A book with a “One-word title”.
A book from a genre you don't normally read.
A book with a number in the title.
A book with an animal on the cover.
The Rules
Fill in each letter of the alphabet with the title of a book that you've read that begins with that letter (i.e. American Psycho for the letter A).
If you read Twilight for the letter “T” you fail the challenge and we are all laughing at you. Not just a giggle either. I’m talking full-body laugh.
Articles (a, an, the) don't count, so skip to the first letter of the next word (i.e. A Thousand Splendid Suns would count for the letter T, The Cement Garden would count for the letter C, and so on). Please tell me you’ll read The Cement Garden, by the way.
Titles that start with or are entirely comprised of numbers, will be alphabetized by how they would be spelled when written out in English (i.e. 1984 would count for the letter N for Nineteen Eighty-Four).
The letter X space will work a little differently than the others. The title only has to include the letter X to count (i.e. The Autobiography of Malcolm X).
Then, Now, Next
The first rule of any book club is that you cannot stop talking about the book club. I think this applies to what you are reading in general. For anyone wanting to broadcast what you have read, what you are reading now, and what is on deck, this Instagram story-sized graphic is for you.
